Alguien tiene mas información sobre esto? Un grupo de antitaurinos franceses me han contactado para que verifique esta noticia, pero no encuentro nada oficial al respecto...

Edito: He encontrado la información verificada, pero en inglés, en las páginas de CAS International (http://www.cas-international.org/en/help-us/protest-online/bullfighting-china/) con petición - emails de protesta - aquí (http://www.cas-international.org/nc/en/help-us/protest-online/china-protest/) y de League Against Cruel Sports también con petición para firmar (http://e-activist.com/ea-campaign/clientcampaign.do?ea.client.id=122&ea.campaign.id=5202).

A ver si difundimos las peticiones, aunque me da a mí que va a ser muy difícil pararlo... :mad:

Bueno, en la página de protesta de League Against Cruel Sports, primero sale una lista que hay que rellenar con nuestros datos (solo necesitan las que están marcadas con asterisco), y una vez lo rellenas y le das al botón Submit, te lleva a otra página donde hay una plantilla de email que puedes enviar directamente, aunque te sugieren que lo personalices ya que eso parece demostrar más interés. Si alguien quiere usar la carta que he escrito yo en inglés, la que he escrito como española, la puede copiar y pegar (para que no reciban tantas idénticas si se envía mucho la plantilla que han dejado ellos). Os la dejo aquí:

Dear Mr. President,

As a Spaniard who's extremely ashamed about the savage practice of bullfighting in our country, I´m writing to protest about the plans to introduce bullfighting in China, as part of the theme park being built in Beijing.

This is a giant step backwards in the fight against cruelty to animals for the sake of entertainment, and as a Spaniard and citizen of the world, I´m very strongly opposed to it going ahead. There are no end of protests and demos against bullfighting in Spain, and many active campaigns to try to get it banned. Please don´t let China sink into shame by undoing the good hard work that´s being done here.

Most Europeans are also against this barbaric act, and many boycott countries where it is still legal, so this is not the best idea as a move towards increasing tourism. Poll after poll show that the number of people opposed, including polls conducted in Spain, is very high indeed, so it doesn´t make any strategic sense as far as tourism goes.

Spain is much, much more than the dying cruel practice of bullfighting, and very far from the old stereotype of flamenco, castanets and matadors. Please look into our many cultural traditions and stop the process of introducing bullfights into China... many people will be grateful.
