Coming Soon: The World's First Vegan Fried Egg

Anyone who’s given up animal products, has probably tried egg replacers in recipes and a whole bunch of tofu scramble to mimic the taste and texture of familiar egg-based foods (minus all the cruelty and negative health effects, of course!). However, not a single product has come along that looks and tastes like an egg yolk.

Well, that’s about to change soon!

THE VEGG vegan egg yolk, touted as the world’s first vegan fried egg is set to launch soon and will be available online in stores like VeganEssentials, Pangea and a few others.

All you have to do is add water to make 1 liter of Vegg yolk and it can be used in cooking, baking, scrambled “Veggs,” French Toast, Pancakes, vegan Hollandaise sauce and many other recipes.

The Vegg is described as “all natural” and the main ingredient appears to be nutritional yeast. In addition, it’s fat-free, soy-free, gluten-free and contains no trans-fats or cholesterol.

The Vegg website has a number of recipes that you can try.

We can’t wait!
